COVID-19 AUTUMN UPDATE FOR PLACEMENT PROVIDERS

We are informing you about the measures the College is taking in relation to helping to prevent the spread of Covid-19. Information regarding Coronavirus is constantly changing, as you will be aware, but please be assured that as a College, the health and safety of our staff, students and visitors is of critical importance.

The College is a COVID secure environment with a comprehensive range of measures in place to keep us all safe. This means that we can continue to work and teach in a normal classroom and office environment. Our college Risk Assessment is available on our website, should you wish to see it, as this sets out the measures we are taking to mitigate risks. Also on our website are other pieces of Covid-related information and guidance. The link to the Risk Assessment is here. We are committed to following the appropriate guidance issued by our Government, Public Health England (PHE) and the Department for Education and continue to monitor developments as new information becomes available.

As part of our remit as an educational institution we have been directed by government to work with Public Health England to manage the track and trace process when we are notified of a positive case amongst our college community. We are fulfilling this role to support the national NHS Test and Trace processes. Within a clearly defined set of guidelines developed in conjunction with Public Health England, we responsible for identifying any contacts of a positive case and contacting them with advice to self-isolate in line with government guidelines.

As a result of the track and trace process your apprentice or placement student may be unable to attend their place of work or placement as they have been advised to self-isolate.

We hope you have found this information useful.
