Course Overview
Studying a T Level offers a range of benefits, including
gaining industry-relevant skills and real-world experience through mandatory
placements.This T Level programme has been developed in collaboration with employers
and businesses, so everything you will learn meets the needs of industry and
prepares you for work. Equivalent to three A Levels, T Levels provide a clear
pathway to employment or higher education, making students more attractive to
employers with practical, hands-on expertise in their chosen field. The
qualification enhances employability, offers flexibility across diverse industries
and increases the potential for higher wages. Additionally, T Levels provide a solid
foundation for university progression, helping students make informed career
decisions and secure well-paid roles in sectors like engineering, IT, healthcare and
business.

Course Highlights
The qualification is structured into two components: the
Core Component, where you will gain knowledge of key concepts, theories and
principles as well as occupational specialism where you will develop knowledge,
skills and behaviours necessary in digital occupations. This course explores how
digital technologies impact businesses, you will be looking at emerging trends such
Artificial Intelligence, Block Chain and Virtual and Cloud environments and Internet
security. Subjects you will cover include Problem Solving, Ethical issues, Testing
Software, Legislation, Security Protocols and Project Management.
This qualification will involve a 315 hour industry placement within the digital
sector.This means students will spend 80% of their time in the classroom and 20% on
an industry placement (9 weeks minimum).

Further Study
On completion you can progress into higher education to
study topics including games development, computer science, web development,
cybersecurity, digital media and software engineering. Alternatively, you may wish
to explore an apprenticeship. This course opens up a wide range of exciting career

Assessment
T Levels are assessed through a combination of exams,
coursework and industry placements. The core component includes exams that test
knowledge of key concepts and principles, while coursework allows students to
demonstrate their practical application of skills. The industry placement is a
crucial part, where students gain real-world experience and are assessed on their
performance in a professional setting. These assessments ensure that students
develop both theoretical knowledge and practical experience, preparing them for
further study or employment in their chosen field.

Entry Requirements
4 GCSEs grade 9-4 (A*-C), including English and
maths.Equivalence of these qualifications will be considered.
