Course Overview
This qualification is for anyone who wishes to work as
an electrician in the building services industry. It has been designed to deliver a
high level of occupational skills and provide a platform from which to progress
through further learning or into
industry employment. This qualification is supported by the JIB (Joint Industry
Board). This industry qualification is acknowledged by the Electrotechnical
Certification Scheme (ECS).

Course Highlights
The Electrical Installation Level 3 course covers a
range of advanced topics to equip you with the skills needed for a career in
electrical installation. Key units include Electrical Principles, Wiring and Circuit
Design, Installation and Testing of Electrical Systems, Health and Safety
Regulations and Fault Finding and Diagnostics. You’ll also gain experience in
advanced electrical calculations and the installation of both domestic and
commercial electrical systems. Our facilities include fully equipped workshops with
the latest electrical tools and equipment, dedicated spaces for hands-on learning,
and advanced testing labs where you’ll simulate real-world electrical scenarios.

Further Study
On completion you can progress into higher education to
study topics including Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and HNC in
Electrical Engineering.Alternatively, you may wish to explore an apprenticeship.This
course opens up a wide range of exciting career opportunities including Electrical
Installer/Technician,Maintenance Electrician and Testing and Inspection
Engineer.

Entry Requirements
4 GCSEs grade 9-4 (A*-C) and a related Level 2
electrical qualification (at merit or higher), including English and maths.
Equivalence of these qualifications will be considered.
