This vocational Business course provides an introduction into the main issues to be considered when running a business. It is comprised of 4 units as follows:

Business Enterprise, which looks at how a business operates and what makes it successful

Business Finance, which provides an introduction to management accounting

Promoting a Brand, looking at many aspects of promotion and advertising

Recruitment and Section, which allows students to consider how to recruit new members of staff.

Additional

This course is available to all Access students.

Assessment

Assessment will be carried out primarily through coursework, with the Unit 2 Business Finance unit being assessed via an on-screen test.

Progression

The course provides many opportunities to develop employability skills for those wanting to go straight into employment as well as an excellent introduction to study the subject further at BTEC National level.
