There are currently more jobs available than there are skilled employees – especially in the IT, Health and Social Care sectors. That’s why we created Career Colleges, to help prepare our students for work and give you the skilled workers you need.

Career Colleges are employer-led courses, specifically designed between us and you to support the demand in our region for skills and training. They help develop a pipeline of next generation work-ready employees, with course content designed by employers to make sure students have the skills, knowledge and learning they need to be employable and meet industry standards.

That means you’ll have new employees with skills and qualifications tailored to your sector, cutting down your training costs. You can make sure the teaching is to international standards of best practice too and you have the flexibility of the Career College working around however much time you and your business can spare

How it works is simple. The scheme revolves around offering work-based placements to students as part of their course in the digital or care sector, with Coleg Gwent partnering some of the area’s biggest employers to make sure the courses are tailored to their specific requirements.
