This is a linear course. The AS content is assessed at the end of the first year. Both AS and A2 content is assessed at the end of the second year.

AS: Two 2 hour written papers each worth 50% of AS.

A2: Two 2 hour written papers each worth 35% of A2; one 2 hour written paper worth 30% of A2.

Note that the A2 exams cover both AS and A2 content.
Practical skills are endorsed separately and are completed during the course (6 practicals for AS and a further 6 practicals for A2).

This qualification will provide you with a range of transferable skills so that you can progress onto a range of our HE courses.

The College Careers Service is available to all our students. We can help you when deciding which course or option you wish to take. During your course we ensure you develop employability skills and gain relevant experience. We provide information, advice and support when completing your course and progressing to work or going into higher education. When applying for university we can provide support with the UCAS application and Student Finance.

Tuition fees are free if you are a UK or home- fee status student and aged 16-18 on the 31st August before the start of your course.

If you are aged 19 or over, you may be required to pay fees depending on your residency status, educational background and personal circumstances.

You only need to apply once for A Level programmes. After receiving your application form you will be invited to attend an informal interview where you will have a chance to discuss which specific A Level subjects you would like to enrol on.
