Get a grounding of mechanical, electrical and electronic engineering, developing your skills supported by our industry experienced staff. You will have the opportunity to use a range of specialist facilities, such as our Solutions Lab, the Technology Campus or our composite and welding facilities.

What could my future job look like? 

Here are some examples of the tasks that you may be carrying out:

  • Engineering technician: assist engineers with highly specialised tasks, focusing on support, diagnostic and maintenance of technical equipment.
  • Project manager: oversee engineering projects, usually for a large or international company, identifying issues, helping come up with solutions and monitoring progress.
  • Chartered engineer: as an engineer registered with the sector's regulatory body (the Engineering Council), you will work to create solutions for engineering problems at a highly skilled level.
