Enables students to demonstrate an understanding of mathematics and scientific principles that are the foundation of engineering. Combined with other subjects at Priestley you will develop a range of skills and gain the qualifications required for a career in Engineering.
A programme can be tailored specifically to meet your needs and combined with AS subjects such as Electronics / 3D Design / Physics / Public Services and many more.
You will develop a wide range of transferable skills.
WHAT YOU WILL STUDY
Year 1 – Mathematics for Engineering, Science for Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
Year 2 – Electrical and Electronic Engineering plus internally assessed units in Electronic Design and Computer Aided Design
HOW YOU WILL BE ASSESSED
Year 1 – three exams
Year 2 – one exam and two internally-assessed units
PROGRESSION
Higher level apprenticeships or directly to employment in engineering roles. Alternatively could facilitate entry to university as part of an academic study programme alongside A-Levels in maths, physics or other subjects related to your chosen course.
