Biology A-level follows the AQA specification. It is a dynamic and engaging course during which you will develop your practical skills through regular laboratory work and required practicals. The theoretical side of the course explores topics from the smallest biological molecules to global ecosystems; anatomy and physiology, biochemical pathways and genetics. Biology A-level is the stepping stone to a wide variety of degree and career choices: it complements creative and humanities-based subjects and is the perfect foundation for a degree and career in the natural sciences and medical and veterinary studies.

100% written external examinations- three two hour papers in year 2.
