This course provides learners with an excellent understanding of how to apply theoretical and practical applications to make an informed decision about their future. The qualification introduces students to some of the key themes of engineering and gives them an understanding of basic engineering principles. Students will develop hands-on skills through practical subjects and gain the knowledge necessary to progress further with their career or education. Not only willl they gain experience, responsibility, time-management and good communication techniques, they will also have experienced the real world through work experience placements. The course prepares you for entry into many different areas of engineering at university level including Mechanical, Electronic, Electrical, Civil and Aeronautical Engineering.

Entry Requirements
Minimum Pass/Merit (PM) at Level 2 Extended Certificate in relevant curriculum area and maths and/or English at Level 2, or minimum 5 GCSEs at Grade C, including maths minimum of grade 4 and English 9 to 3 or equivalent. Interview and suitable reference.

The course prepares learners for entry into many different disciplines at University, these include, but are not limited to: Mechanical Electronics Civil Aeronautical Engineering The course also offers excellent opportunities to progress into technology-based industries through an apprenticeship or into the armed forces. This course does not restrict students to pursue a career in this sector. It gives students relevant, transferable skills that will be welcomed by colleges, universities and employers.
