This introductory programme of study has been designed to give students a general introduction to a broad range of construction skills. Practical activities are completed in fully resourced workshops led by highly competent and qualified staff. Students will study technical units to develop skills and knowledge associated with construction to prepare them for further study in particular construction trades.

Students must pass all practical and theory elements of the programme to achieve this nationally recognised qualification.
All students who have not achieved a grade 4 (C) or above in GCSE English or maths will need to study these subjects alongside their chosen qualification.

On completion of this qualification, students can progress on to a level 2 specialised programme in bricklaying, or carpentry & joinery or painting & decorating.
No tuition fees are payable for students aged 16 – 18 on 31 August 2019.
For all students aged 19+ fees will be £1570.
