Are you looking to upskill your manicure qualification to enable you to provide full nail enhancements?

Do you want a level 2 qualification in Beauty Therapy?

The aim of this qualification is to prepare learners to work within the Beauty Therapy Industry. It is designed for anyone who has an interest and enthusiasm who wishes to develop the basic knowledge, skills and competencies to work within a beauty salon at an entry level.

What level is this course & what skills do I need?

This is a Level 2 Qualification.

You will need to have appropriate levels of English skills in order to produce assignments necessary for this course. 

You must have achieved an English Language GCSE at Grade 1 – 3 / G – D or above or you must have achieved a Functional Skills Level 1 qualification

You will also be asked to do an online English language test for the Course Approval Assessment to assess that you have the appropriate level of English in order to be accepted onto the course.

A passion for the beauty and or complementary industry and a willingness to learn.

Competent IT skills

Well organised and ability to work to deadlines. This course requires home study and research skills. You must have sufficient time at home that you can set aside to do homework, revision and practice.

You will be expected to work on your classmates to practice and perform your practical treatments. This course is open to males and females.

To be considered for a place on this course, you are required to complete an online course Assessment to ensure this course is suitable for you.

Courses at Level 2 or below may be free if you are in work, live in a London Borough and earn under £25,642.50 or are in receipt of a means tested benefit and looking for work. For further information please contact enrol@suttoncollege.ac.uk

Additional information

To practice at home you will need to purchase some items recommended by your tutor. Approximate cost £60.00- £70.00

Purchase a suitably recognised student insurance to cover ‘case studies’ of your practical treatments

You will need to purchase suitable black clothing to create a uniform to wear in the salon. Your tutor will recommend where to purchase the items.

You will need to wear black flat closed in shoes in the salon
